5 things I learned in 5 months of being a Dad

My Daughters b-day cake

Today marks the 5th month of my Baby Girl. Not so long ago, she would just calmly sleep in my arms. Now, she tumbles and turns and do all crazy stuff an active 5 month old does.
In this past 5 sleepless and tiring months, I would say I’ve grown a lot,  As a Man and as Father. I would often find myself staring in her angelic beautiful face

Never Beyond Repair

you are never beyond repair

One of our talented Local artist Carlos Castano asked his friends/followers to send a video of themselves for his music video. When I Participated, I picked to write “Never Beyond Repair” on that sheet of Paper.

I had committed so many mistakes, made too many bad decisions,

For 2015

I wrote this back at January but haven't had the time to post.

December 31st 2014, ten minutes before the new year. Almost everyone was asleep and was tired as we travelled all the way from Manila to Baler (yes, they skipped the new year celebration and traded it for sleep). We left around 3am and arrived around after lunch. After couple of hours arriving at the place where we are going to spend the night we then went

Looking back at 2014

At the end of each year I take time to reflect and look back at my year. Things that I am thankful for and highlights of my year. This year it is quite a challenge to do so as it is not such a good year for me.

This year is the most challenging year of my life. The things that I have undergo this year is nothing compared to the other 30 years of existence. I was brought so down low

So husbands, How exactly do you love your wife?

not my tattoo not my photo. Credit goes to original owner of the photo

Yesterday I spent my whole day celebrating the 27th birthday of my

wife. Photos and greetings were posted all over her timeline. Some
Pictures are from a not-so-distant past and some are from her earlier
years like you are looking at a “throwback Thursday”

As for me and my house

I can still vividly remember those Sunday mornings. My mom would wake
up early to get dressed up to go to church and while I am busy
dressing up my mom would usually play Gospel music. No, it’s not
Hillsongs or those new Gospel artist. I am talking about late 80’s to
early 90’s Gospel Music. One of my mom’s favourite Gospel

My Blessing and Fear

A Man, even though he looks strong, at times he fears.

my baby @ 10 weeks

Mixed emotion. This was exactly how I felt when my wife told me that
we are having a baby. Rush of excitement and overflowing joy mixed
with worries and doubt are the things that flows through my head and
my heart. I remember that day when I was talking to Jam years ago.

Trusting the Coach

The Philippines is said to be a basketball crazy country. In almost every street you’ll see at least  one basketball court. If there is none, one will build his own “Half-Court” across his house mounted on a tree trunk or mount it on his own parking garrage. I am no different with those hundreds of Filipinos who are just crazy about basketball, The PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) in particular. I started playing basketball late in my life. I started at the age of 13 while all my friends started when they were 7. Even though I started late, I was pretty familiar with the PBA since my dad would often watch the games on then PTV-4. I always dreamed of playing in the Pros just like Atoy Co, Vergel Meneses,
Marlou Aquino, Allan Caidic, Jerry CodiƱera, Samboy “The Skywalker” Lim and the Legendary Alvin “Captain Lion Heart” or “The Captain” Patrimonio. Unfortunately, I don’t have the skill set to even make it in the collegiate leagues but that didn’t stop me for loving the sport.

Also, a vital part of a team is a coach and one of my favourite coach in the PBA would probably this American guy who had spent much of his coaching years here in the Philippines, Tim Cone.

When Manly EGO Strikes..

Probably one of the most, if not the most sensitive part of a guy. One thing that I guess most women won’t understand. When a man’s my EGO is hurt,

Birthday Ink!!

To Celebrate my 30th birthday, I thought of a way to remember it and came up with something permanent to remind me of something important everyday.

This is my latest ink. It is the smallest one that I have but the most meaningful one.

It is a reminder that someone laid his life for me to be liberated from death. That His death is not to be taken lightly for me to easily Sin.  That someone had given himself because he loves me. That while He was being crucified, He was thinking of me. Yes, His blood to be spilled for me to be FORGIVEN. The Blood of Jesus.

Oh my! 30th!!! my secret

Oh time flies so fast! Last Sunday I am turned 30. I don’t feel like I am 30, I don’t act like I am 30 and definitely doesn’t look like I am 30 but my body feels it. It is harder to loose weight but easier to gain. I feel

To bribe or NOT to bribe?

This is a picture of my Driver’s license. I got it last month. And not even two months of having it, I incurred my first traffic violation…

jeremy cruz

I started driving when I was 12. I can clearly remember driving the white Starlet that my parents own. While my friends were busy playing basketball, I was there in front of our garage
